Compare the difference between using Medigap and Our service
to cover your prescription medication needs.

In this example, we decided to find out how benefitial using the Medigap plans that included prescription drug
coverage were. We used information from an average cost state and 70 year age group. Plans A-G do not include
prescription coverage, Plans H-J do.

We took the difference between the prices of Medigap plans E and H (They most closely resemble each other aside from drug coverage). We used three different well known insurance companies to compare the plans.

Plan H

We took the price difference between Plan E and H  (70 year old male) for each company and
averaged those differences. The average difference between plan E and plan H was $978 per year.
This is the amount payed for prescription coverage in plan H. The Prescription coverage in plan H
consists of a 50% copay up to $1250 worth of coverage.
So you are paying $978 a year to get 50% off your medication and only up to a limit of $2,500 worth
of prescription drugs.
After that you pay full price for your prescription drugs.

At Norphar, we can often get you 50% or more off of your medication and
we don’t limit your purchases or charge a premium. So, if you go with one of the Medigap Plans A – G and
use Norphar for you prescription needs, you can take that $978 and put it in your pocket.
Also, if you
noticed in the chart, Plan E has Preventive Care coverage and H does not.
